Plant Life

Plants in the grassland biome have extensive root systems. A lot of the plant life consists of varied species of grasses. However there are many different types of flowers that survive and thrive in this flat, vast, North-American grassland. One such plant is the blazing star. The blazing star is a common flower to be found in Grasslands. By the tall grass and plants around it, you can see that it needs substantially more water than normal grass, but doesn't need the amount that a tree needs to support itself. There are still many other wild flowers that bloom in these grasslands that can stretch for miles and miles.
